Krissy Culler is a North Carolina native, a Naval Academy graduate, and a former Navy fighter pilot. She has continued to serve in federal, state, and local government and in her spare time enjoys exercise, reading, puzzles, and painting.
Krissy was inspired to take up painting a few years ago and paints exclusively in oil. She has an art teacher and mentor but mostly enjoys exploring new ideas and subjects on her own. Through all of her works she explores the duality of loneliness and hope, inviting viewers to reflect on the beauty and resilience found in solitude. Her major influences include Edward Hopper, Winslow Homer, and Robert Cardinal.
